Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) issued by ASHA
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain (SLP - CCC) in Georgia
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but dedicated professionals from other settings are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students
- Develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school psychologists to provide comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including progress notes and IEPs
- Provide education and training to school staff and families on communication strategies and interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
